Kölner Instacoll Tissue

  Kölner Instacoll is a size for the attainment of high gloss weather-resistant exterior and interior gilding. It is a system consisting of Instacoll Base and Instacoll Activator.Instacoll Base can be applied with a soft brush or spraying machine. After drying (approximate up to 1 hour), the surface is ready to gild for approx. 1 hour. If gilding takes a longer time or gilding can be completed at a future date, the surface respectively applied Base can be simply reactivate with the component Activator. The activation is dry after a few minutes and the tack will remain for approx. 1 hour (only patent leaf is applicable). Available packaging unit: 100 ml, 500 ml, 1.000 ml, 4.000 mlMore information see Technical Data Sheet (Download)   

  Gold leaf in first class quality from our own production   Gold leaf, loose   The gold leaves are placed in paper booklets, loosely inlaid in 25 compartments, one for each leaf. To cut the leaf, one may take it from the booklet with the gilding knife and place it on the gilding cushion or drop it directly from the booklet onto the gilding cushion. Then, pick up the leaf with the gilder’s tip and place it onto the prepared surface.   Gold leaf, patent (normal or lightly pressed)   The individual gold leaves are pressed onto a tissue paper. One uses patent gold, also called tempest gold, when gilding outdoors. The tissue paper is larger than the gold leaf, thus it may be more easily handled. It is also possible to cut the patent leaves into desired shapes/forms with sissors. The leaves are placed onto the prepared surface (Instacoll system / oil gilding = mixtion), and carefully rubbed with cotton wool or Kölner tissue drapery. The tissue paper may then be removed as the gold leaf will adhere to the surface / object. For exterior gilding, we recommend from 23,75 cts on.   Purchase quantities of gold leaf:   1 booklet contains 25 sheets of the selected sheet size / 1 book of 250 sheets contains 10 booklets of 25 sheets / 1 book of 300 sheets contains 12 booklets of 25 sheets   Valued material   with 65 x 65 mm per sheet approx. 260 sheets / with 80 x 80 mm per sheet approx. 175 sheets with 85 x 85 mm per sheet approx. 150 sheets / with 90 x 90 mm per sheet approx. 135 sheets   depending on the surface, waste and loss during processing.Sizes up to 120 x 120 mm possible, please inquire separately.   For technical reasons, there may be deviations between the reproduced internet images and the original product.   Instacoll Tool is an special tool for pressing and pushing patent gold leaf into deepenings. Developed for the Koelner-Instacoll system.  

  Kolner Rapid is anhesive/gold size, which was specially developed for gildings on stone inscriptions. After application of this adhesive, the gilding work may already be started after about 15 minutes. The adhesive power of Kolner Rapid remains approximately 8 hours (according to weather conditions).If it used on very absorbent stones, several layers of adhesive can be applied. Always allow to dry before the next layer will applied. A previous sealing of the stone is no longer necessary.Kolner Rapid meets all the requirements of a permanent and high gloss exterior gilding.Available packaging unit: 100 ml Available colours: yellow, clear
